An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Events Coordinator to join a friendly, professional and extremely busy team of 4 organising events and meetings for this fabulous organisation.

The role and responsibilities will include

Invite speakers to take part in meetings and ensure contact is maintained and that all necessary arrangements are in placeEnsure that venue, AV and catering arrangements are in placeUpdate the events database is updated with all relevant event details each dayHandle publicity and marketing for each meetingSource sponsorship if requiredEnsure that registrations for sponsors, guests and speakers are entered onto the departments registration systemBeing present on the registration desk on the day of the eventEnsure that rooms are booked for events at least 12 months in advance

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with a minimum of 1 years similar experience running events. Essential requirements include experience of managing budgets, some project management skills, outstanding customer service skills, immaculate personal presentation with excellent communication skills written and verbal. Must have a very professional approach, conscientious attitude, proactive, pay good attention to detail and a friendly disposition displaying tact and diplomacy. Knowledge of medical terminology would be highly desirable.

Must be happy to work unsociable hours and weekends as required? (time off in lieu given).
