The Allocation Analysis team within Menzies Distribution provides a key service to ensure that the nationwide allocation of magazines and newspapers is accurately reflected, in line with our publisher needs, prior to operational distribution.

Reporting to the Allocation Centre Manager, the successful candidate will work on a specific publisher portfolio, to enter allocation criteria into the Menzies i-News Allocation System in order to produce retailer specific allocations of Regional weekly and Newspaper titles, on a daily basis and within strict timelines, to enable us to meet o ur customer requirements.

You will also be a main point of contact to liaise with our publishers, both by telephone and on a face to face basis, to communicate regularly on their requirements and provide assistance on their needs.

You will, from time to time, also be able to contribute as part of a team providing administrative support to help maintain our workflow schedules.

To succeed in this role you will be able to thrive in a team environment, which is challenging, but dynamic.You will be able to work to strict deadlines to ensure that we are able to meet our publisher and end customer requirements

You will be PC literate, proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word and have excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to provide the level of service required for our customers.

Experie nce of Newspaper allocation systems is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.

This temporary contract will last for 3 months.
