Our East London based client is looking for a Building & Estates Contract Manager.

Working within the Development and Asset Management Directorate, our client has a twelve month fixed term vacancy for a Building & Estates Contracts Manager.

Management and monitoring of a first class responsive and estates service through proactive management of the associated contracts and the fostering of effective relationships with the relevant contractors, consultants, and suppliers.

Develop strategies and actions for the continuous improvement of the repairs & estates services

To oversee the work of contractors, maintenance surveyors and repa irs staff undertaking the management and delivery of repairs, maintenance and investment contracts for the Group for housing, associated land/buildings, and in respect of corporate buildings.

To ensure that the complaints process for the team is managed, complaint panels are covered and appropriate, and trends and findings are used pro-actively to improve the service.

Lead the repairs team providing the technical management skills and expertise, having technical knowledge and building related qualifications as well as extensive experience of the same.

Manage large scale procurements of the Repair & Maintenance contract as required, ensuring compliance with statute and best practice within the industry.

Essential Requirements:
MRICS/MCIOB or relevant professional construction qualification
Construction related degree or equivalent

Relevant experience at a senior level in a relevant maintenance & reactive/res ponsive repairs capacity with a sound technical knowledge of building maintenance services.
