Skills in healthcare the contract sales and service part of Alliance Boots have an immediate requirement to recruit ateamof Pharmacy Development Managers to promoteproducts to retail pharmacy teams with a dedicated focus on the top 500 Boots pharmacies..

Full Time Permanent

Salary 21,000 plus 6K

Covering the North West (Ideally based around the Manchester/Liverpool Area)

Job Purpose:


This is a field based product detailing role working within asales service structure with specific responsibility for managing a defined territory.

Working to a brief, this role is to assess existing levels of knowledge and compliance and educate teams on products to increase product knowledge and patient/consumer recommendations leading to increased retail sales and brand market share.


Key Accountabilities:

Provide Product detailing and education

Collate, record and monitor key information and capture progress

Account assessments

Distribution and display compliance

Build trusted relationships with Pharmacy teams

Provide evidence through Daily KPI reporting of enhance awareness and product recommendations

To meet core productivity KPI targets ( e.g. calls per day, effecting details per store etc)

To provide daily contact reports and cycle activity feedback for clients.

To gather insight on in store and product competition activity, pricing, display and service.

To attend bi-monthly meetings with the client account managers and marketing teams to support knowledge development and prepare for future call cycles.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate effectively with pharmac y teams (decision makers and influencers)

Ability to assimilate product knowledge features and benefits quickly

A strong sales process and a structured approach to influencing

Able to build rapport and develop trusted relationships with key staff

Effective time management and journey planning capabilities

Experience in OTC health and beauty and healthcare product selling and detailing an advantage.

Some knowledge of category management techniques.

Effective presentation skills with good use of a variety of sales aids

The ability to analyse and interpret numerical data, client presentations or market reports to develop a communications action plan

Ability to work u nder pressure, set priorities and to work to deadlines.

Strong commercial acumen and a good decision maker
