Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Bristol, South West.

Salary: 18 - 22k dependent upon experience.

Manbat Ltd operates as an importer, stockist and distributor of stored energy products, batteries for everything from watches to wheelchairs; from cars to Caterpillars; from medical equipment to giant emergency back-up power systems and from small pleasure craft to multi-million pound luxury yachts. With over 55 years of experience, 11 warehouses throughout the U.K and three supply partn ers.

Reporting to the Branch Manager you will co-ordinate the warehouse and despatch function in compliance with QMS ISO 9001:2008 systems and health and safety standards, ensuring that customer service (both internal & external) and inventory accuracy are optimised.

Managing a team of warehouse assistants ensuring they are sufficiently trained high standard enabling them to perform safely and efficiently within their specified roles, creating a positive environment of continuous improvement and best practice.

The main duties within the role include;

Monitor and provide daily KPI figures relating to warehouse department.Supervision of a team of 6 warehouse assistants / delivery drivers.Manage and communicate Company policies to ensure a safe and efficient working environmentDemonstrate professionalism and provide outstanding customer service both internally and externally. Manage goods received and despatch by Company vehicle or freight forwarder.

The successful candidate will be;

Experienced in supervising a team of individuals.Proactive and flexible in their approach to work with a very good understanding of all warehouse duties. Fully trained in operating counter-balance and REACH fork lift trucksHolding a full UK drivers license. You will need to be fully conversant with Standard Operating Procedures with strong PC skills including Microsoft packages WORD and EXCEL as well as email / diary systems. Experience working within QMS ISO 9001:2008 is advantageous.

Due to Company Motor Vehicle Insurance requirements, applicants must be aged 21 years and over, hold a full UK Drivers Licence.N.B. Applications will be subject to insurers approval of drivers license; accumulated penalties or specific endorsements may invalidate their ability to operate Company vehicles.
