Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking 5 Branch Managers in the following areas:

South West, North, East, and Essex.

Salary up to 50,000 per Annum:

plus attractive performance related pay bonuses, Private Health Insurance (PPP) for employees after 6 months probationary period; Stakeholder pension scheme after 6 months, Probationary period; Mileage allowance.

Candidates will need to have the following Qualifications and Experience:

CQSW, DipSW or equivalent.

Five years post experience including two years in Family Placement

Experience of working with diversity

Full Driving Licence

Knowledge

Knowledge and understanding of care standard Act 2000, Fostering Regulations 2011 and National Minimum Standards for Fostering 2011

Knowledge and understanding of the statutory and procedural framework of child-care.

Knowledge and understanding of the implications of the above framework for child care practice and the implications for the foster care setting.

Knowledge of the needs and qualities of a multi-racial, culturally and ethnically diverse community.

Knowledge and understanding of how discrimination and disadvantage impacts upon children and their family.

Knowledge and understanding of multi-disciplinary work.

Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practise of working in partnership.

Skills

Ability to present verbal and written information clearly and concisely.

Ability to make assessments that are thorough and analytically.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensure all statutory requirements and functions are undertaken.

Recruitment, assessment and training of foster carers and staff members.

To identify and put in place appropriate administrative systems and to ensure those systems are developed on a needs led basis.

Co-ordination of the support of foster carers (monthly visits, additional visits on request or to address specific issues).

Ensure all statutory requirements are made including annual foster care reviews. Ensure all appropriate work is completed to conform to statutory requirements.

Ensuring placement agreements, reviews and care plans for the young people are organised and implemented; attendance at reviews.

Monitoring of placements terminations/disruptions and their implications.

Setting up and maintenance of appropriate records and files.

Ensure that the panel receives all the information that it requires, with particular reference to Form F assessments.

Liaison with clients agencies, independent agencies etc, monitoring any national developments on regulation, review of fostering standards etc.

Out of hours support to carers

Attendance at meetings as required and the performances of any other tasks and responsibilities consistent with the role of the Branch Manager.

The recruitment, management and supervision of additional members of Social Work staff as and when required.

To undertake any other broadly similar duties as and when required by the Director.
