The Role & Key Accountabilities
We currently have exciting new Chef vacancy in the Kitchen at The Meriden Bar & Restaurant at Birmingham Airport. Are you from a Catering College looking for first break in a busy new kitchen looking for that first step? Or have experience as Catering background. Food preparation and presentation is the key to our success .You will be the face of our business as the quality of food and presentation is crucial to our success. Most of all you will be responsible for upholding the excellent standards of service for which SSP is renowned. Please note all successful candidates are required to provide a full 5-year reference history and undergo a Criminal Record Check to comply with Airport Security regulations.

Skills & Experience
The roles will involve fresh food preparation, cooking at a fast pace, and attention to details for presentation. Experience required Knife skills and Basic food hygiene certificate also you will be helping to keep the kitchen looking clean and tidy. More than anything, we require an enthusiastic, can do attitude with previous experience in catering. You will enjoy a full company induction and training so you can be successful in your role in this exciting and vibrant environment. Life at the Airport is 24 hours per day you must be fully flexible to work to a shift system involving very early starts like 2am and late finishes and of course fully flexible for weekends.

Incentives In addition to your hourly rate of up to 6.50ph you can earn an extra 50p per hour bonus in our 'booster' incentive (criteria applies).On a 20 hours minimum contract.
