We are looking for a Contact Worker who can work on a temporary basis and have good communication and organisational skills, including the ability to write simple letters and reports on a variety of subjects, evidence of good interpersonal skills, including skills in working in stressful situations,

Evidence of an understanding of children's developmental needs and ability to provide practical care of a child, including babies.

Understanding of health and safety issues relating to children, including in relation to transport.

Ability to supervise, manage and develop staff

Good observational skills.

Experience of staff management.

Experience of maintaining effective and confidential records.

6 months relevant employment - involving direct provision of caring services to children/families.

6 months relevant employment in a children's social care and health setting

The ability to deal with conflict in a sensitive manner.

Basic word processing/IT skills.

Understanding of the role of the contact centre in the wider children's social care and health setting.

Please note that we will have to take a new CRB out with you which will take 4-6 weeks to process.
