This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading regulator - the Gambling Commission.

The Commission was set up under the Gambling Act 2005. We license and monitor gambling providers in Great Britain and work to keep gambling fair and safe for all. As part of our role we take regulatory and criminal enforcement action where necessary and, as a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, we also advise central government on the impact of gambling and its regulation and provide advice and guidance to local authorities about gambling regulation.

Were looking for an experienced intelligence specialist to lead a small team focused upon developing our intelligence capabilities, delivering high quality intelligence products and providing support to our workstreams.

Stakeholder management is an important part of this role internally youll need to work closely with our senior management and workstream leads, and externally youll need to develop and sustain effective relationships with the police, other law enforcement agencies, the gambling industry and others and make sure they have the confidence to share information with us.

The ideal candidate will have a balance of the following skills:
experience of working within a regulatory, law enforcement or other similar environment fully familiar with the intelligence cycle and National Intelligence Model (or equivalent) proven ability to produce high quality analytical products and reports evidenced leadership, development and delivery of strategic and operational intelligence capabilities with a commitment to lawful compliance, quality standards and resource efficiency strong leadership skills with an understanding of and commitment to matrix management experience in the management of covert investigative techniques, the requirements of RIPA, DPA and FOIA an understanding of money laundering as a criminal enterprise, POCA and Money Laundering Regulations.
