At OMS we want to recruit the best. We are a young dynamic company and due to our expanding product portfolio are now recruiting a new position of Bilingual International Buyer. We are searching for a highly motivated, determined to succeed individual fluent in both Mandarin and English who would like full exposure to the workings of an international medical company and gain invaluable experience in managing our existing international supplier and distribution network and be ultimately responsible for sourcing new products and suppliers.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

Managing the relationships with our existing supplier network
Sourcing new global suppliers and products using the internet and telephone
Organising product samples from potential new suppliers
Attending International Medical Trade Fairs to search out new products and suppliers
Placing supplier orders and negotiating contracts, deliveries and pricing
Evaluating product quality and gathering customer feedback
Overseeing the logistics and delivery of goods from our suppliers into our UK and Shanghai warehouses
Work closely with our full time graphic designer to ensure all product packaging meets statutory requirements

Candidate profile

We are looking for that exceptional candidate who will fully embrace being an integral part of the OMS team and do everything they can to drive forward and increase our success in domestic and international markets.

As we have a warehousing facility in China which services our Asian and Australasian markets, it is essential that the successful candidate speaks and writes Mandarin and English and can communicate fluently in both languages. The individual also needs to be a strong planner and organiser with a high attention to detail and able to cope well under pressure.

Ideally we would like someone who already has some experience in a similar role dealing with international suppliers but more important than this is to have the right can-do attitude and to see working with us as an incredible opportunity to progress in their career.

We are asking that candidates have a minimum of 12 months work experience since graduating.
