Applied Market Information Ltd is a leading specialist business consultancy providing research and information services for the global plastics industry with offices in the UK and USA.

We are currently offering a one-year internship in our Bristol office for someone with a recent business school degree/masters or MBA qualification to work on a series of high-level business reports covering the plastics industry in Asia. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in carrying out strategic market research and consultancy in a global business environment. The work will primarily involve:

Telephone, desk and web-based research of markets and businesses in AsiaThe development of data and statistics on plastics markets with extensive end use analysisWriting and editing of reports

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

Excellent business research capabilities using both primary and secondary sourcesA keen mind able to analyse and interpret data Excellent writing skills to present and explain data.

Any experience or knowledge of plastics markets would be an obvious advantage as would any understanding of major customer sectors such as automotive or packaging. An ability to confidently use Microsoft Office products is essential, particularly Excel. Fluency in a major Asian language could be an advantage but applicants will be expected to have mother-tongue fluency in written and spoken English.
