Purpose of the Job

- To carry out audits for the factory quality system, including process and hygiene controls.
- To audit site quality systems to ensure compliance and take prompt corrective action where required.
- To check raw materials against specification to ensure compliance and take prompt corrective action where required.
- To advise production on technical matters.
- To work as part of an integrated manufacturing team in order to maximise plant performance.

Reporting and Relationship:

Reporting to the Technical Manager

Dimensions

Their factory produces c.10, 449 tonnes of meat free vegetarian products circa 3 million cases per year, and circa 75 stock keeping units.

Principal Accountabilities Auditing:
- To audit every stage of product manufacture from raw materials, production, assembly and packaging to despatch. This will include checking recording and sampling.
- To audit site hygiene including area housekeeping, protective clothing and employee hygiene standards.

Compliance:
To ensure that at each stage of manufacture there is compliance to:
- Site production fundamentals
- Production specification
- Food safety legislation
- Quality manual policies

Technical Control:
To take the appropriate corrective action should there be failure to comply in any of the above, communicating with the Technical Manager.

To take an active role in daily taste panels.

Technical Analysis
To assist the Technical Co-ordinator with the analysis of auditing data and participate in any arising action plans/investigations.

Projects/Initiatives:
To work with theTechnical Team on the projects that will drive the department forward.

Any other duties that will assist the department achieving technical excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Good level of education.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team or on own initiative as appropriate.

Limits of Authority

Can stop production for serious quality or food safety issues.
Can quarantine product as required.
Can request adjustments to process control parameters
