We are a specialist Financial Inclusion division. The division is a market leader in providing insurance solutions especially Home Contents Insurance for residents of Housing Associations and Local Authorities who are on low incomes. We currently manage arrangements for approaching 750 social housing providers.
Thistle Insurance Services is a full service Managing General Underwriter providing complete underwriting and claims services on behalf of selected insurers. As a business, we create, distribute and manage non-advised insurance products and facilities into niche or privileged access segments of the consumer, small business and not for profit sectors.
We employ 325 staff across the UK at offices in Belfast, Bracknell, Coventry, Gloucester, Leeds, London, Liverpool, Maidenhead, and Wolverhampton.
We are particularly well known in areas such as:
Leisure - caravans, holiday homes, youth clubs, adventure activity providers.
Housing - social housing and its contents for local authorities or housing associations
Online insurance for personal items including bicycles, musical instruments and cameras
Wholesale insurance placements in the Lloyd's and London.

Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects, assist in achieving the units new business target and overall budget;
Promote the profile of the business through, for example, attendance and support at exhibitions and trade fairs, regular communications and meetings with clients and prospects and development of strategic alliances with professional and trade bodies;
Develop a strong relationship with existing clients and provide all necessary support to enable them to reduce the number of uninsured tenants;
Maintain strong working relationships with existing prospects, maintaining renewal retention and introducing growth plans;
Develop a good working relationship with insurers, ensuring all client and policy holder queries and problems are successfully resolved;
Maintain annual continuing professional development, awareness of trading conditions, prospect information.
Essential:
Previous sales and or account executive experience
Good relationship management skills,
GCSE grade A to C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Enthusiastic and self-motivating
Please note that the role will involve nationwide travel and you must therefore possess a full UK driving licence.
Desired:
Experience of the social housing sector
A Levels (or equivalent)
