Full time role - 37.5 hours per week. On-call duties and weekend working required.
About the role
These are exciting times at St Monica Trust - we've launched a new service to care for older people in their own homes within communities in Bristol - Care at Home. As such we're seeking to recruit a Senior Care at Home Worker who will share our passion for enhancing and maintaining older peoples' quality of life and helping them to sustain as much independence as possible.
You'll undertake customer assessments - some of whom with complex or specialist needs. According to the customer needs and profile, you'll deliver personal care and light household duties such as cleaning and changing bed linen. You'll be an enabler - helping and facilitating day to day activities that may not be as easy for our customers as they used to be. According to your skills and experience, your role will be responsible for administering and facilitating medication.
Additionally, the Senior Care at Home Worker is responsible for the performance management of the team of Care at Home Workers. You will be trained on the rota system, you'll mentor and develop new employees and hold 'role model' status for best practice at all times. You'll be the first point of contact for customers' issues or complaints and will proactively oversee the delivery of a quality service.
About you
You'll naturally be an excellent communicator, good at listening and building strong relationships with customers, their friends/family and external parties such as GPs and other medical professionals. You'll be able to resolve problems, work in a safe and compliant manner, keep records up-to-date and ensure information is passed to the Care at Home Manager and/or medical professionals as and when necessary.
What we offer:
This is a rewarding and busy role within a supportive and friendly team. Travel time is paid and expenses are at 45p per mile. All employees receive an extensive induction and training programme.

Hours of service are between 7 am and 10 pm, 7 days per week.
