About the Role

As a Team Manager at Gist, you will be running an operational section of our business, overseeing the vast activity to ensure that, at all times, we are meeting our customers needs, and pushing to exceed them.

Weve recently been through a process of aligning our team members, so that each individual who works for us not only knows who their manager is, but has the opportunity to spend time with them and develop their relationship. And thats what the role of a Team Manager is all about Building relationships with your team and peers to understand what makes them tick, and therefore how to get the best out of them.

Its a very hands on role, which will require you to roll your sleeves up and get involved it will help you to very quickly identify where things can be improved and developed so that we drive our business forward. Youll also hold regular briefings and meetings with your team, and providing them a platform to suggest their ideas too, which they can then develop and see through from end to end.

Youre people focused, driven and you want nothing but the best. You recognise that the key to your success is in the performance of your team, so as a manager - your supportive, you listen and you give them a platform to grow and prosper.

You understand the importance of regular and clear communication and you make sure that everyone knows the customers needs.

Things to consider....

Our operation has very demanding time constraints so you need to be flexible with your working hours. We have three core shifts AM (6am 2pm), PM (2pm 10pm) and Nights (10pm 6am).

Youll come in to contact with Trade unions (previous experience with this would be beneficial).
