The job for you?

Hay Group is seeking an accounts payable assistant for an initial 9 month period in ou r finance team. The finance team ensures that Hay Groups financial transactions are recorded on an accurate and timely basis, assets are safeguarded, best accounting practices are complied with and current finance and taxation laws are followed. This role will support the accounts payable division of the finance team with its responsibilities and ensure that supplier invoices are approved, accurately coded and input on a timely basis.

Key accountabilities will include preparing supplier statement reconciliations to ensure supplier invoices are properly recorded and accounted for, and to follow up and resolve reconciling items. You will ensure supplier invoices are correctly approved, coded and processed on a timely basis, and will organise payments to the suppliers. You will also maintain and update the manual cashbook on a daily basis and prepare the monthly journal for the manual cashbook.

We are looking for someone with experience in data reporting and accoun ts payable systems. You will have excellent communication and customer service skills, and a strong attention to detail. You must be able to build strong working relationships and have confidence to deal with internal and external clients at all levels. You must have intermediate excel skills.
