An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading semiconductor company to join their team as a C/C++ embedded software video engineer. C, C++, Embedded software, Software design, Real-time operating systems, Linux, Windows, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, MPEG4-AVC, WMV9, VC-1, St Albans, Watford, Home counties, England, UK

You will be joining the rapidly growing video team involved in the design of cutting edge video technology, responsible for developing video encode driver software for next generation hardware.

The successful candidate will have:
- At least 2 years C or C++ programming experience
- Experience and understanding of embedded RTOS
- Minimum of BSc in Engineering, Computing, Maths or Physics

Desirable skills include:
- Experience with Linux or windows at the driver level
- An understanding of video compression standards (MPEG, H.264, WMV9, VC-1)
