Engineering Service Manager - (subject to bid award)

Job purpose
We are currently seeking an experienced facilities management Engineering Service Manager, subject to bid award, to manage all specified operational delivery requirements and company objectives in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures within the contract in order to meet SLA and KPI targets, achieve statutory compliance, continual improvement and high levels of customer service delivery, together with the co-ordination of environmental, health and safety and man-management planning policies and procedures within area of responsibility, whilst providing effective leadership by promoting the highest standards of business practise.
Please note this is an outline of the duties as opposed to a role profile to act as a guidance for the purpose of primary sourcing.
Responsibilities
Ensure strict compliance with statutory, Company & customer practices & processes to the ISO 9002, employment & Health & Safety legislation Monitor audits of works in progress and completed work Implement Interserves integrated policies on Quality, Health & Safety & Environment (QSHE) in conjunction with corporate support teams and clients requirements Ensure defined H&S responsibilities and accountability are established and regular reviews are undertaken Deliver and monitor the Service Delivery Plans and KPIs Facilitate the development of robust service delivery processes and procedures Develop, implement and monitor account customer satisfaction programme Full control and accountability for all of the contracts hard services delivery activity within the clients portfolio Ensure all changes and escalations are owned and dealt with quickly and seamlessly Focus on facing into the client team and ensuring operations team deliver the services Implement a Continuous Improvement Programme and identify issues to drive forward contract development, continually improving the perception of the Company by its customer Encourage, coach, support and manage the effective performance of people and develop them to meet the contract requirements Drive through efficiencies, generate savings and best value solutions. Ensure that the contract budget is adhered to and that all levels of expenditure are within the set targets Maintain responsibility for the profitability of the contract & improve profit margins through the efficient management of labour costs, productivity, materials & control of ove rheads Understand how to set up commercial contracts, SLAs and KPIs Record information that is relevant to contracts Recognise and report potential risks to the client and Interserve Negotiate changes in contract Development of KPIs Ensure personal achievement and development plans for all managerial staff under their control are completed and reviewed each year, and ensure training requirements are delivered Be aware of changes & developments in technology, legislation, working practises & products that are relevant to the Company & the customer To develop and maintain a professional and proactive business relationship with key client representatives To successfully manage the delivery of all service delivery activity across the contract To effectively communicate with all key stakeholders on performance, change and continuous improvement activities To generate efficiencies, savings and best value solutions across the contract The reporting of performance against contractua l performance indicators and awareness of recovery system The provision of accurate information to the Interserve Senior Management team and Senior Management Team
Knowledge skills & experience
Substantial quantifiable and demonstrable experience in a similar role preferably with previous experience in the Corporate environment and Facilities ManagementRecent successful experience of controlling multi site total FM contracts involving a majority of hard services with soft services experience highly desirableWorking knowledge of P&L AccountsKey Account Client Management at all levelsDemonstrable experience of budget management on large multi-disciplined contracts, preferably nationwideExtensive experience of large Project Management and mobilisation, dealing with sub-contractors and supply chain within a complex multi faceted operation Demonstrable experience of successful process management within a large and complex client service modelProactive manag ement and experience of large service delivery teams Recent quantifiable and successful of negotiations with clients which have resulted in satisfactory issue resolution, incident management, value add to the business, cost savings or new business

Demonstrable operational understanding of facilities maintenance and building services within a client focused environment including day to day management knowledge as well as tactical and strategic planningExtensive experience in managing a large multi-disciplined workforce Strong management control including people management, project management & client relationsExcellent communication and leadership skills at all levels and across all disciplines Highly focused and strong commercial skills Strong influential and negotiating skills to drive the businessConsultancy approach to service deliveryAble to diagnose/analyse complex commercial and technical situationsProven track record in successful people m anagement including performance management and familiarity with operational HR process and procedureValid formal Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH (5day) / NEBOSH highly desirableIT literate FM Management Information Systems, MS Word, Power point and Excel
