Our client is currently looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager who will be responsible in conjunction with the Technical Manager for developing and maintaining the company quality management system, which includes Quality manuals and HACCP study, ensuring the company meets its obligations to produce safe and legal products to agreed specifications. This will include internal technical specifications, raw material specifications and documentation relating to food safety and legality

In the absence of the Technical Manager to assume responsibility for allTechnical Services personnelDevelopment of process control documents covering all aspects of the Quality Assurance system from incoming materials to finish goods for the purpose of due diligence.Review process control documents against risk assessments and process capability. Raise through senior management review meetings results of risk assessments and capability studies where changes are required to the QA systems or process controls to ensure compliance with legislation, customer standards and BRC systemsTo review all packaging designs and provide second sign off before the designs are finally approved for conversion to printer formats.Food technologists will be responsible for supplying designs to the QA manager.Direct management of the Pest Control contract and on site facilitation of pest control. The QA manager will also be responsible for the liaison between our client and the suppliers of laundry services and feminine hygiene services.To be a key member of the company HACCP team.To be a key member of the CQP team.To prepare documentation and assist in maintaining and improving internal audit standards, which include, but is no t an exhaustive list. GMP, Hygiene, Glass / Hard Plastic / Ceramic, Potential Foreign Body and training records.Auditing and reviewing systems and procedures to maintain the operation of the Quality Management system. Produce and maintain the internal quality manuals, specifications, process control documents and laboratory methods. Ensuring that changes are approved and communicated.Monitor and review on a regular basis the quality assurance documentation and the testing of product for compliance against specifications, including taste panels, micro, analytical analysis, end of shelf lifeAssist the manufacturing and engineering managers with projects to improve quality, efficiency or performance.To provide technical support to the Factory QA team in methodology and laboratory practices.To provide internal independent managerial assistant to QA supervisors when required, due to any unresolvable quality issues they may have in their direct reporting roleTo supervise the archi ving of all QA records and maintain documented product archives.The Role Requirements are:
1. Strong experience in developing and implementing HACCP standards
2. Must have experience in working with large food companies in UK
3. Should have major supermarket retailer experience
