Leading Marketing Consultancy, who advise on strategic marketing and commercial issues for clients in a range of services and industries, have a vacancy for a Research Consultant. Initially a 6 month contract but with the view of resulting in a permanent role.

You will be working within the market intelligence to serve the specific needs of their major clients. The team is responsible for driving revenue through maintaining and building long-term relationships with one of the most prestigious financial services providers globally.

Key elements of the job are:

Use own initiative to proactively seek and develop understanding of the financial services industry, through different data collection methods and interpret findings.

Utilise a combination of rigorous desk research and primary research skills

Able to locate and persuade busy and often reluctant executives to share information candidates must be confident and enthusiastic

Analyse and interpret qualitative information and numerical data through cross-checking to a build story of recommendations / implications

Synthesise findings to prepare well-written, insightful and credible reports using tools such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel

The candidate must meet the following criteria:

Keen interest in financial services

Experience in creating and conducting presentations in PowerPoint

Able to demonstrate attention to detail in their work, including precise written English

Complete fluency in English is essential and also fluent in French

1st or 2:1 class degree and strong academics are essential. We are interested in both arts and science graduates

Considerable time and energy will be spent building your core skills by providing expert mentoring and line management. The team works closely across peers and senior project leaders in an atmosphere where good performance is rewarded. Training and skills development are important, recently all consulting staff have participated in off-site training in abroad.

This is an entry-level position, which offers the potential for rapid advancement into client-facing and project management positions within this team, the company and the group.
