We are looking for a further two Salesforce Developers to join our team at theFinancial Times.

TheSalesforce.com Developer will be working within the IT development team to build, support and maintain a suite of applications using the Service, Sales Cloud and Force.com platform. The user base of these applications will both be internal and external.

This role is required to support a number of projects within the organisation including a customer service rollout of the Service Cloud and the ongoing replacement of a number of legacy internal workflow / business pr ocess applications using force.com.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Salesforce Developer

Understanding business requirements and translating these into technical solutions based on the salesforce.com platform.
Designing and creating the underlying data structure and data flows to support the application build including: custom objects/fields; work-flow; approval processes; apex triggers; visualforce pages; other Force.com features
Designing and building web & mobile interfaces on the Force.com platform using Visualforce, Apex and other available tools.
Liaising directly with internal business users and providing 2nd/3rd line support on the salesforce.com built applications
This role requires a level of technical experience and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with commercial staff, technical strategy and architecture staff, and third party developers as well as FT development peers.
Keeping up to da te with the latest plans, developments and changes in the salesforce.com platform

Salesforce Developer person Specification

Essential

Commercial experience using the Salesforce.com development platform
Proven record of delivering successful applications utilising APEX code, Visualforce
Force.com data loader and migration tools and techniques
Experience of integrating SF/Force.com with other web and server based systems
Agile methodology exposure, preferably Scrum, or a keenness to adopt Agile principles
Problem analysis and resolution
Familiarity with source code control systems (e.g. SubVersion).


Desirable

Sales and/or Service Cloud rollout experience
Experience in writing public-facing force.com applications, as well as for internal, licensed users.
Use of any ETL or data integration tools
Ability to write technical documentation.
Other desirable t echnologies to have include, HTML, XML , CSS, JavaScript, Web Services and SOA



You MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role.

You should also be able to attend interview in person in London within a few weeks.
