Do you want to work in an exciting environment where you are interacting with guests? Well we have a fantastic opportunity for you to do this! Our client a small restaurant chain is currently looking for Teppanyaki Chef to join them.

As a Teppanyaki Chef you will be preparing food live in front of customers and creating a dynamic and fun environment, your main duties and responsibilities include.

Responsible for Teppanyaki and sushi bar.
Experience at NQF Level 3 in a similar position.
Knowledge of Sushi and Teppanyaki.
Taking c harge of the Japanese Teppanyaki & Sushi section of the kitchen and the kitchen staff.
Handling stock control, cutting costs and food wastage, maintaining food hygiene, health and safety.
Training junior kitchen staff to improve culinary skills on preparing and cooking Japanese Teppanyaki & Sushi dishes as well as in hygiene and safety awareness in the kitchen.
Must be able to take full responsibility for your own performance.
Must be able to create new Japanese Teppanyaki & Sushi dishes to enrich the menu.
Must be able to liaise with the head chef to handle any special requests made by the customers.
Ability to cook other Japanese Specialties is an advantage.
Must be able to work in a demanding and stressful environment.
Should posses team playing skills.
Sound judgment to prioritize activities, detail-oriented and cost conscious.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent presentation skills and possess upfront personality in presentation to customers.

Applicants will have extensive experience at NQF level 3 or above, a good command of English and familiar preparing Oriental dishes and the ingredients used.

Positions will be based at their London Restaurants.
