We are currently seeking a part time Finance Manager, with a view to a possible future full time role, whose main duties will include:
Preparing monthly financial board pack - including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, KPI analysis, customer profitability analysis together with commentary throughout
Preparing ad hoc management information to meet ongoing management requirements
Preparing company and project specific budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
Tax, corporate structure and remuneration planning
Stock valuation, including involvement with bi-annual stocktakes
Working with finance team to manage cashflow and bank facilities
Quarterly VAT reconciliations and submission of returns
Statutory reporting, including accounts and annual return submission
Statutory accounts and tax returns preparation of audit pack and tax information together with management of whole audit process through to finalisation of accounts
Review and authorisation of internal costing sheets
Review and authorisation of customer terms and conditions
Liaison with bank, accountants and other external bodies
Weekly/monthly/annual finance and communication meetings
Applicants should be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified. You should have demonstrable experience of working within a finance environment with a strong commercial awareness. You will have the ability to plan and manage resources effectively to ensure quality of outputs is achieved within the specified deadlines.
We are seeking an individual who can work independently and as part of a team and who will be proactive in all areas of their role. The right candidate will be able to make their own suggestions and recommendations and go above and beyond what is expected. This is a real opportunity for the successful candidate to make the role their own.
The ability to communicate with people at all levels and good IT skills are essential. You should be familiar with Sage, Word, Excel and Outlook. Prior use of Sage Line 200 is preferable but not essential.
Whilst we are currently offering a part time role, it could develop into a full time role as our group continues to expand. A full time role could also be offered subject to the successful candidates prior experience and/or their subsequent performance in the role.
