About the role:
The Walmart Global Ecommerce (GEC) team design, develop and support the technology behind Walmarts global ecommerce and multi-channel strategy. With team members in San Francisco, UK and India, we are leading one of the worlds largest multi-channel technology development programs. Were developing multi-tenant, multi-language and multi-currency architecture and services to enable ecommerce within many of the countries where Walmart operate around the world. The Product Manager role is responsible for driving the translation of business strategies into specific technology solutions (which we call products) that can be deployed in both local and global environments. The role defines and follows a product development roadmap, designing business and functional capabilities that deliver against both our core customer proposition and company strategic and financial goals. The role is based between Asda House in Leeds & George House in Lutterworth, so travel will be required.

The ins and outs:
Work with multiple functions to build and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions.
Lead the product discovery process (technology business requirements, functional design).
Collaborate with the business, user experience and engineering teams during discovery to assess value, usability and feasibility of product features.
Specify, prioritise and communicate high level and detailed product specifications using written specifications, business rules, flows and use cases as well as user experience generated deliverables such as prototypes, wireframes and design and copy documents.
Manage third-party dependencies and secure necessary engagement / resource alignment for the creation of co-developed product features
Work closely with Marketing and the Business to launch products and ensure their adoption.
Coordinate post-launch activities to validate that the product works as designed and that operational processes dependant on the feature successfully complete acceptance testing
What youll need:
A proven track record in a similar role
Demonstrated success defining and launching technology solutions
A proven track record in writing logical, detailed and complete product requirements and functional specifications
Able to develop detailed level of benefit / ROI analysis
Understands technology and how it enables business goals
Relevant professional experience within technology product/program management, product marketing, project management, business development, management consulting
Online retail and/or marketing/strategy experience preferred
Has good time management skills and can prioritise tasks effectively
Strong business acumen and quantitative and analytical problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills enabling strong cross functional relationships, internally and externally
