Purpose of the role:

To develop supply chain strategies with best in class suppliers that deliver year on year quality, cost and delivery benefits and consistently meet the requirements of our internal and external customers.

Principle Accountabilities:

? As a Strategy Development Leader you are responsible for the overall development of commodity strategies in line with the Goodrich Engine Control Systems requirements
? Ensure suppliers know how to do business with Goodrich.
? Develop effective supplier relationships
? Develop Long Term Supplier Agreements with year on year QCD improvements.
? Carry out benchmarking activities to ensure our supply base remains competitive
? Use Goodrich best practice tools to evaluate new potential suppliers
? Monitor the financial health of key suppliers.
? Support commodity strategies at ECEPS level.
? Understand and take advantage of new technologies in Manufacturing and Product
? Ensure awareness of Goodrich Make vs Buy initiatives

Essential Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

? Should be educated to a minimum level of HNC
? Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels internally and externally.
? Computer literacy including competence in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word
? A capable analyst
? Strong experience of facilitation skills.
? Financial competence
? Relevant experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain
? An appreciation and basic understanding of production engineering/design engineering
? Experience of Aerospace industry or low volume/high technology industry is an asset
? Ability to think outside the box
? Focused
? Committed
? Instinctive
? Capable of driving issues through to completion
