The Sales and Marketing teams provide direction and service support to the Business Units and Business Fields to enable them to fulfil their strategies.

Job Description

Generate airfreight and seafreight quotations to support rate enquires from the Internal Sales and Local Sales Function, Route teams or Kuehne + Nagel Overseas Offices.
Preparation and presentation of the quote to the originating source.
Recording and reporting the level of quote activity.
Prioritising the quote request, so that the best opportunities are responded to as immediately as possible.
Knowledge and ability to be able to secure the rates for the quote construction from the business field quoting platform to meet the demand window mentioned in item 4.
Focus must remain of the provision of rates internally and not to the customer.
Engagement with Sales, Route Teams or KN Global Offices.
Engagement with either Seafreight or airfreight trade teams to ensure the most competitive rate is provided based on the value of the opportunity.
Communicate regularly with department managers, shipping line and airline, when applicable.



Requirements to Candidates

Record daily quote activity to the Branch Manager to monitor performance.
Communicate the positive or negative feedback in respect of being able to source the competitive rate to support the closure of all business opportuinities.
Prepare weekly/monthly reports for the branch manager to demonstrate quote activity and achievement against target.
Communicate the feedback from all internal requests to ensure this functions delivers the requirements of the role.
