Job Profile
A Process Engineer will normally be a reasonably experienced engineer and may have specific specialisms within his/her own discipline.
Process Engineering is the fundamental discipline upon which process plant design is based. Process Engineers therefore provide the basic design information which enables other disciplines to proceed with project and proposal work.
Design work generally covers but is not limited to design calculations, process description and specification, flow sheets, heat and materials balances, performance guarantees, raw materials, specifications and consumptions, plant layout criteria and constraints, effluent specifications and quantities, equipment lists, data sheets for relief valves and safety equipment.
Responsibilities
To carry out specific design tasks delegated to him by the project Process Engineer or Chief Process Engineer as appropriate.
To be responsible for checking of design work in accordance with Company Procedures and approval of design work when authority has been delegated by the Chief Process Engineer.
To carry out design tasks on proposals, delegated to him by the proposal Process Engineer or the Chief Process Engineer.
To liaise with other disciplines as required.
To provide support to Sales Department and Construction/Commissioning Departments as required.
Person Specification
Only candidates with a degree in Chemical Engineering will be considered
Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Nuclear, hydrocarbon or Power sector.
Process Engineers should have a minimum of 2/3 yrs. experience in the field of Process Design Demonstrate a track record of working with the major chemical engineering contractors.
