A small, independent business established for nine years, our success is built on being brave, bold and brilliant at what we do.

Were not part of a big group and we dont work like one. So probably best not to apply if you work best with line managers and call sheets and a regular kick up the backside.

Were seeking someone who can look after our existing customers and also win us new ones.

Youll be confident and persuasive without being pushy and have a genuine interest in helping to ensure your customers advertising works for them.

Youll need to be well organised, smart, personable and, importantly, level headed and able to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.

Self motivation is a must, but equally important is the ability to fit into a small team that works really hard yet has a lot of fun in collectively producing a great magazine each month.

Key parts of the job

To generate revenue through the sale of advertising space in our magazine and any other products we may produce, hitting and exceeding monthly targets. This will involve:

Being aware of every business opportunity in the area that you cover

Identifying potential new customers

Cold calling to introduce our magazine

Arranging and conducting face to face appointments where required & converting appointments and calls into bookings

Advising businesses on suitable advertising campaigns and working with the

graphic designer to produce suitable artwork for these

Maintaining good relationships with customers

Keeping up to date, accurate records

To be an ambassador for our titles in the local community, always smartly presented in business dress

N.B. Salary comprises 19,000 basic + 3,000 car allowance, for which you need to provide and insure your own car for work use.
