1. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits for staff.
2 .Administration of new starters, leavers, attendance records, timesheets, employee files, expenses reimbursement, holiday & sickness records.
3 .Correct calculation and processing of Basic Pay, Salary Reviews, Overtime, Bonus, Holiday Pay, Company Sick Pay, SSP, SMP, Tax Credits, Student Loans, Payments in Lieu, Redundancy and Termination Payments
4 .Processing multiple payrolls (including self-contractors payments)
5 .To check all data prior to the final processing of payroll
6. Issue and processing of all legal and statutory documentation including P45, P46 and SSP1 forms.
7. Ensure Tax Code and Legislation changes are implemented.
8. Reconciliation and payment of Income Tax and National Insurance to the Inland Revenue.
9. Calculating and processing manual payments for Line Management when required. Calculating and processing overpayments in a timely manner
10. Work closely with all sites to ensure all data is provided in a correct and timely manner in order to process the Payroll
11. Maintain employee database and HR records in accordance with current legislation
12. Produce employee data reports from the HR system Safe 50 Payroll & Sage Construct
13. Resolve any payroll queries efficiently and in a professional manner
14. Provide support to other teams within the HR function as required
15. Other duties as and when requested by management
16. Ensure that operational issues affecting the payroll that cannot be resolved are promptly communicated to the Senior Administrator
17. Carrying out regular Visa status reports
18. Assisting with manual and online CRB checks
19. Collating references for all applicants
20. Maintenance of an effective filing system
21. The continuous improvement of all Payroll Procedures
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Previous payroll experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills to deal with different stakeholders
- Must be able to work to tight deadlines and follow a strict timetable in order to process the Payroll
- Should be flexible in approach to workload and be highly motivated
- Must be proficient in the use of excel, word & Outlook
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Punjabi speaking & listening
- Knowledge of Simply Personnel
The successful candidate will ideally be experienced in the use of SAGE line 50 , SAGE payroll and Sage Construct and hold knowledge of HMRC submission requirements (P14, P60, P35 etc online submissions) and be a strong team player having worked in small team environment and also be used to and happy with working efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
