Description of the job
A vacancy has arisen for a Stress Engineer to be based on the Filton site (Bristol).
The Airbus Single Aisle New Engine option, Wing design team (TWE) require Stress Engineer Wing structure. The role will start during Concept phase and will be required through design, manufacture and certification phases for A320/319 Neo, A321 Neo.
Tasks
MAIN ACTIVITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Produce Stress analysis and stress dossiers.
Creation of interface loads.
Present implications of changes to input loads.
Creation of local methods where required. Capture of lessons learnt and continuous improvement.
Support of F&DT activities
MAJOR END RESULTS
Ensuring the Wing structural design meets Neo programme airworthiness and product requirements.
Engineering solutions are optimised in terms of strength and weight and also integrated at a component and wing level.
Design schemes, Design reviews, Data for manufacture to required Quality standards
Your skills
Personal Profile:
Educational Qualifications
HNC or higher.
Technical knowledge & signatory
Hand calculations & Linear FE
Single Aisle product knowledge and stress process
Professional skills
Ability to analyse and solve technical problems
Ability to work with internal and external design teams.
Flexibility and Dedication to ensure timely completion of critical activities.
