Due to significant growth this US owned global leader, providing technology protection services is looking to recruit a Director for the Head of Legal Department.

The role will be responsible for all legal and regulatory affairs for the region and will entail reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, providing legal advice to the procurement team and other business leaders on commercial and contract issues and providing legal analysis, recommendations and input on strategic and operational initiatives. You will also manage external legal counsel on pan-EU issues, along with a corresponding legal budget. The scope of the role will prov ide a wide variety of business and legal challenges.

The successful candidate will have 10 - 15 years of PQE, preferably with some in-house experience. The candidate will have strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience along withPan-European/US and/or knowledge of the insurance / telecoms sectors would be advantageous.

The main skills required for this role would be 10 15 years in Legal (Commercial & Contracts) regulatory experience. Attorney Admitted to practice in England.A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the insurance industry or in private practice.Candidates must also have specific experience in connection with the FSAs regulations in connection with insurance products and the ability to qualify as an Approved Person with the FSA.

Essentiallanguage skills in English plus one of the following:- French, German, Italian are also required and you will also possess excellent industry knowledge along withstrong skills for str ategic thinking and complex decision making.
