About You

We are currently seeking an experienced Network Manager to work on-site at one of our premier customer sites in the Healthcare sector. Reporting to the customers Head of I CT, you will manage a team of 4 consultants, delivering the support and managed service of their 5000 user IT estate. You will ensure the team consistently deliver services to agreed SLAs across a range of technologies including Network, Wireless, Telephony, Video, Security and Enterprise Messaging.

In addition to this you will ensure multiple large scale advanced projects (budget circa 2-4 million) are delivered to accepted best practices and standards.

As the Network Manager you will have operational management experience, project and service management experience and technical acumen. You will be interfacing on a daily basis with senior management, other suppliers and internal technical resource; hence you should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and will already have gained experience in deploying and managing enterprise Cisco solutions, with a demonstrable track record of career progression to date.

Specific responsibilities include:< /p>Day to day management of a support team of 4 consultants with responsibility for the delivery support service across the IT estate.Successful delivery of a number of administrative business as usual activities across the IT estate.Ensure the support team delivers the services within agreed SLAs, following defined incident, problem, escalation and change management processes.Deliver a monitoring and alerting service of the IT Estate. Attend regular client Service and Project meetings.Build strong relationships with key personnel within the clients ICT management team.Provide Service Leadership and contribute in the design and delivery of services improvements plans.Conduct effective supplier management with 18existing supplier relationships.Provide weekly reports on the overall status of the service to Block management.Ensure successful delivery of monthly of Executive Service Reports.Ensure that all projects adopt the accepted best practise technical standards at the clie nts site.Ensure that all projects are delivered following best practise Project management methodologies.

Essential Skills and Experience;

Minimum 5 years experience managing a technical team (minimum 5 engineers) in the delivery of a support service.Minimum 5 years experience delivery support services to ITIL service management best practises.Minimum 3 years management experience working in a >2000 user IT environment.Ability to understand Project Management methodologies and processes.Professional level technical background in at least one of the following technologies Cisco Networks, Cisco Telephony, Cisco Wireless LAN, Cisco Security.

Desirable skills and experience

PRINCE2 certificationITIL certificationTechnical depth in Cisco WLAN, UC and Security solutionsFamiliarity with Bluecoat Proxy AppliancesFamiliarity with Nokia and other vendor firewallsFamiliarity with 802.11n WLAN architectures
