This Leading International Publisher based in Central London is looking to recruit a Senior Software Architect to play a key role in the establishment of a new architecture function within the organisation which will be charged with the design and delivery of the next wave of both business and client-facing digital products.

Working as part of a tight-knit team you will act as the Technical Lead, taking responsibility for all aspects of architecture design and operating at a hands -on level during the entire application design and development process. This is a new function within an established and market leading international business which will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work on a truly diverse digital product portfolio which uses the latest technologies to deliver genuine innovation.

This is a highly technically demanding role that will use all aspects of your architecture design, technical leadership and development skill set. The key responsibilities for this role include:

Top level and low design of the software architecture for new product developmentProviding hands-on technical leadership to members of the architecture group and to internal/external developersProposing suitable solutions to Enterprise scale and quality, across both Java and LAMP technology stacksOperating across multiple development initiatives within a large scale international environment and interacting with all appropriate parties

To be c onsidered for this position you will be an established Architect or Technical Lead with Java and/or LAMP technology stacks. You will be a credible Application Engineer with the ability to design complex large-scale Enterprise Solutions, ideally within an international environment. In addition to this you will demonstrate the following:

An earlier career as a Software Engineer in Java and/or LAMPA credible experience in a technical leadership roleAn understanding of SOA and how to apply this approachProject experience with Service Orchestration and/or RESTful web servicesA strong understanding of RDBMS

In addition to this any candidate that can demonstrate familiarity with content distribution networks, understanding of AGILE techniques and noSQL will be preferred.
