Senior Engineer and Project Consultant

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

As a TechQuarters Senior Engineer and Project Consultant, your day to day experience will be supporting customers and fixing 1st line to 3rd line IT Support calls remotely or via through callouts to customer sites. The role involves dealing with external clients, working in project teams, migrating their networks to Microsoft Office 365, Hybrid Cloud, Hosted Virtualised environments and implementing Disaster Rec overy as a Service (DRaaS) solutions.

The role requires the individual to be flexible and whilst the role is a dedicated Senior support engineer, you will be required to spec, scope, manage, consult and deliver projects for customers as required. There is further scope for team leadership and engineer management on a day-to-day basis.

The role is based in London, with client facing work (although 50/50 office based with flexible working conditions.) You will have the ability to be creative every day in developing solutions for clients and also provide real input into projects. You wont be told to sit and just do support all day with increasing workloads and having no input to the future of the business.

TECHNICAL SKILLS and PERSONAL SKILLS:

Essential (Very good knowledge) - Microsoft engineer (MCP level), Exchange, Hyper V or VMWare, Office, TCP/IP, DNS, SBS2003 or above, building and maintaining Servers, Logmein or other remote control. Good to have Office 365, Google apps, CRM, SaaS. Strong communication skills (demos, audits, pre-sales activities, team work, interactions with clients and stakeholders). Passion for IT and entrepreneurial in nature. Helpful personality and flexible can do attitude is essential. Problems solving mind set with good project management skills and time management. Ability to participate in strategic business development efforts by understandi ng customer needs.
