We are looking for full time, part time and bank Care at Home Workers. Please indicate your preference on the application form.
Are you looking for a new challenge?
Our Care at Home Workers help customers in their own homes with the day to practical things like getting up, getting to bed and personal care. The role will require you to assist customers' mobility and facilitate self-medication and application of creams. Subject to your skills and experience, the role is also responsible for administering medication and dressings. Keeping records up to date is essential in this role and there is an expectation for you to undertake some customer assessments and work collaboratively with customers on their individual care plans.
Our Care at Home Workers enrich people's lives. You'll provide companionship, you might facilitate reading, take a customer out for a walk, participate in hobbies and activities with customers. You'll advise on what to eat, undertake light house-hold duties, you'll also spot and report changes in health, behaviour or moods.
What we're looking for:
Naturally you'll be a friendly and patient person, able to strike up conversation and have a positive and professional communication style. You'll hold a great regard for maintaining dignity and respect and ensuring choice and control in the way your service is provided.
It's not essential to have gained experience within a care environment but you will be able to undertake the practical duties associated with personal care. You'll be able to assess individuals' needs (sometimes those requiring enhanced or specialist services), produce written reports and follow instructions. You'll be an experienced and qualified care worker with the skills needed to inspire and motivate colleagues. You'll possess strong team working skills with the ability to help out other team members when needed. You'll also have a strong track record of time management and flexibility.
You'll be a person who genuinely cares about our customers, treating them with respect and putting their well-being before anything else.

What we offer:
This is a rewarding and busy role within a supportive and friendly team. Travel time is paid and expenses are at 45p per mile. All employees receive an extensive induction and training programme.
