The HCSD finance team act as business partners working alongside operational management to shape strategy / plans and manage the performance of the business. The team are supported by a finance analyst and a finance accounting team that prepare the monthly management accounts. An opportunity now exists for a Commercial Analyst Health Assessment to join the team and add real value

Key Responsibilities

Challenging the management team to improve business performance to meet profit targets and realise strategic goals for the Health Assessments business. Providing relevant performance management information and decision support to Health Assessments management. Business Partner to the Head of Health Assessments and the Health Assessments management team ensuring that all decisions are informed by clear understanding of financial / commercial issues and that financial / commercial discipline is embedded in the operation of the business. As key member of the Health Assessments management team, contribute to the management and strategic development of the business unit by playing an active role in any strategic review of the business or product lines. Develop analytical models to appraise and business cases to support investment or business development proposals. Work closely with the Finance Manager HCSD to ensure business performance, any associated risks / opportunities and corrective action plans are understood and bought into. Develop quarterly forecasts, annual operating plan and 3 year plan ensuring projections reflect current position and operational plans for the business. Work with the Finance Manager HCSD and colleagues in Finance to ensure that transactional finance, financial accounting and management accounting processes are robust.

Specific Skills
