This new post is managed within the CIC. It reflects the changing role and responsibilities of John Taylor Hospice which became a community interest company (CIC) in 2011. John Taylor Hospice was founded in 1910 and has been supporting people in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands for over 100 years. As a CIC John Taylor Hospice can now extend its mutual working relationships with the corporate sector; in generating income and in-kind contributions.

The purpose for this role is:

To develop a brand new corporate fundraising income stream for the CIC To develop strong and profitable relationships with corporate partners To support the membership to match with corporate partners in order to develop and foster long term relationships To identify, recruit and retain partners for all types of corporate support, predominantly Community Organisation of the Year, sponsorship, cause-related marketing and payroll giving To develop corporate fundraising packages consistent with the values of the CIC and to ensure the delivery of the highest standards of support To work as part of a wider team to maximise the income raised and meet annually agreed income targets and support the development of in-kind partners. Potentially to manage volunteers who are recruited to support corporate investment and part time or sessional staff.
