Technology Means Business Group is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Systems Engineer to join our Network Infrastructure team based in Colchester, Essex. Technology Means Business Group is a leading reseller of Infrastructure & Accounting Software Solutions to the SME marketplace providing traditional on-premise solutions as well as cloud computing solutions. We operate across the south & east of England with offices in Essex, Hampshire & Kent.

Working as part of the Network Infrastructure team at a senior level you will provide a wide variety of IT services to our customers predominantly focussed on Microsoft technologies. This will include project planning, management and implementation as well as consultancy services. In addition you will be expected to provide 3rd line support services when necessary for our customers based in the south of England and London.This includes infrastructure, software, hardware, systems and servers

To be considered for this role you are likely to have 3 years + experience in an IT reseller / solution provider environment, ideally at a senior level and be comfortable with interacting with business customers at all levels. This position requires an organised, resourceful, adaptable and self-motivated person who has good communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure, both alone and as part of a team.

Qualifications such as MCITP, MCTS, MCSE & MCP are preferred. Continual development and training are an integral part of this role to complement your own enthusiasm for IT & Technology.

A valid driving license is required as you will be spending a proportion of your time working on customers sites.

Experience in as many of the following areas as possible is desirable:

Customer facing experience in an IT reseller / solution provider environment.

Proven history of successful consultancy, project planning & implementation

3rd line technical skills in MS technologies, LANs, WANs, Firewalls, VPNs

Virtualisation, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Scoping hardware requirements

Windows Server, Exchange Server, SQL Server, SharePoint Server, Remote Desktop Services, Microsoft Office
