Job Summary

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for increasing profitable revenue growth by leveraging corporate contracts at the region level. He/she is responsible for direct sales contract renewal and to ensure retention of major contracts. He/she keeps the Director of Strategic Accounts informed and updated about relevant Strategic, Enterprise and Global issues and customers at risk. .

Job Duties

Manages Strategic Accounts

Develops sales strategies and write strategy papers to achieve profitable growth.Targets new business opportunities to drive sales and revenue growth within regions and districts from both existing portfolio customers and targets. Identifies and develops areas within a customers business which our client can support in order to build value propositions for clients.Conducts sales analytics to identify opportunities, decliners and facilitate planning. Provides region and district management teams with pertinent Strategic Account segment information

M anages Internal Relationships

Secures internal support to overcome organizational obstacles in resolving customer issues, hindering business development or sales activities. Negotiates with other functions to gain support for business strategies for new or existing accounts. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive account strategies for retention and acquisition. Participates in strategy sessions with local account managers during contract negotiations to ensure customer requirements for large, complex agreements are represented. Monitors customer activity for large, complex agreements to ensure that both the customer and our client meet contractual agreements. Participates in local business plan performance reviews to represent the performance of the segment.

Supports Customer Relationship Building

Maintains relationships with senior leadership in customer organizations to network and uncover opportunities to in crease revenue. Participates in regular meetings across EMEA with customer stakeholders to develop relationships with decision makers. Provides sales team assistance as needed to support the development of client relationships and enhance opportunities for new business. Follows-up with customers to assess satisfaction level with services and products. Participates in meetings to present and review proposals with clients and sell the value of the solutions.

Must have Parcel Industry Experience - a proven track record of success in Managing Major Accounts
