The successful applicant must be AAT qualified and will benefit from working with an experienced and knowledgeable team of Accountants enabling further career progression.
The Financial Outsourcing department provides services such as:
Business transaction processingFX treasury managementCash flow management & execution of bank payments Forecasting & budget implementationVAT compliance reportingSales invoice generationCredit controlMonthly management reportingAudit support & assistanceThe successful candidate will be assigned their own portfolio of clients and will be working alongside senior members of staff, providing assistance when needed in a fast paced environment where good communication skills are essential.
The main responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant will include:
Organising source documentation received from clients for processingSupervision and training of Financial AdministratorsPreparation & review of monthly journals; prepayments, accruals, salaries & depreciation Roll forward of reporting packages and preparation of accurate financial reporting packs for reviewIntercompany reconciliationsCompletion of VAT reporting requirements Preparation of low risk FSA returnsPreparation of cash flow forecastsAssistance with year end procedures and liaising with auditorsLiaising with clients and answering routine queriesAs a member of the outsourcing team, you will receive on the job training to complement your technical knowledge and will be provided with the opportunity to learn a variety of accountancy software packages and build strong relations with clients. Advanced development is encouraged and will be rewarded with the assignment of additional responsibilities enabling the candidate to advance to the next level in their career.
Essential Requirements
You must have the following in order to apply for this position:
Full AAT qualification and at least 3 years practical work experienceA minimum of seven A-C grades at GCSE level including grades B or above in both English and Maths. QuickBooks accounting software experienceStrong IT skills and sound knowledge of excelStrong analytical skills and good attention to detailAbility to manage own tasks, good time management and able to work under pressure to tight deadlinesThe successful candidate will also have the following career profile and attributes:
