An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Outwards Reinsurance Technician, reporting to the Assistant Outwards Reinsurance Manager.

Responsible for the daily management and processing of a defined outwards reinsurance workloadAdministration of cover notes, wordings and addenda ensuring all processes are adhered to within company guidelinesProvide reinsurance information for strategic purposesReview daily Premium and claim movements monitoring reinsurance positionAnalysing and reviewing daily / monthly claims movements to calculate and process advices, collections and recoveryResolve any queries on advices / collectionsIssuing rein surance collections and loss advices to the marketAttending meetings when required, liaising with other divisions providing them with ad hoc information when requestedMaintaining spreadsheets in Excel for Management Information and statistical purposes and providing support and cover for other members of the teamReporting factors which may have an impact on financial results to the Outwards Reinsurance Manager

Candidate Requirements

Outwards Reinsurance experienceExperience of the following systems is highly desirable

SBS Eclipse

Knowledge of Marine, Aviation, Non Marine and MotorExperience gained from a Lloyds syndicate and or London marketThe candidate must be highly numerate with a solid level of IT skills (including Excel), and a strong capability to manipulate data using pivot tables, VLookup, IF statements, and formulas to provide detailed monthly and quarterly reports for Management informationExperience with Excess of Loss and Quota Share reinsurance is essential for this roleExcellent communication skillsPro-active, Dynamic and self motivatedAbility to multi-task and prioritise own workload
