Overall Purpose of Job

The main purposes of the Working Capital Manager role are the following
Drive optimal cash management across Best Buy Europe
Ensure that BBE remains within its funding limits and generates positive cashflow in the longer term
Ensure that the cashflow implications of any investment decisions, including corporate transactions, are understood by the BBE Exec and by the 2 shareholders Best Buy Inc and The Carphone Warehouse Plc

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead project team to deliver working capital challenge set by BBE Exec
Work with operational roles (e.g. supply chain) to identify opportunities to reduce working capital absorption
Facilitate sharing of best practise around optimal cash management between local finance teams
Develop world-class management reporting, analysis and planning framework for cash that will support the business properly
Work with our outsourced reporting team to develop value-added management information that will assist management in understanding and driving cashflow performance
Support broader Financial Analysis team in understanding cash impacts of investment opportunities

Skills & Experience

Essential

Strong academic background educated to degree level as a minimum

Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years post-qualified experience

Personal Attributes:

Strong work ethic, drive and initiative (ability to work independently where required)

Strong commitment to deliver added value to colleagues across BBE

Experience with cash management reporting & analytics

Ability to achieve objectives in a challenging environment & under tight deadlines

Self starter

Building and maintaining strong working relationships is absolutely key to the success of this role
