IT Change and Project Delivery

Business Change Manager

The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be 39,818 - 46,972 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

This Post is initially funded for 18 months. We are seeking a hands-on Business Change Manager for a major project introducing an electronic admissions process across UCL. The project is being delivered in several phases and at each stage a large number of impacted stakeholders across the university need to be kept informed, engaged and prepared for the changes. Working closely with the project manager and the project team, the Change Manager will develop communications and change management plans and either execute them or arrange delivery by the most appropriate person.

In addition, the post holder will contribute more widely to the delivery of best practice in change management in all our projects by consulting with other project managers in the development and execution of their change management plans as required.

The role holder will rely on extensive understanding of change management principles and processes, and an ability to critically analyse the business and project needs, in order to determine the required course of action to maximise the benefits of the system changes being delivered. An ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing, a proven track record of influencing behaviour without direct authority, confidence in the face of resistance, and the ability to facilitate consensus building in multi-disciplinary teams are essential skills for effectively carrying out this role.

Experience in IT project delivery and/or the Higher Education sector would be a significant benefit.

If you have any queries regarding the vacancy or the application process, please contact:

Closing Date: 13th May 2012

Interview Date: 23rd May 2012

We particularly welcome female applicants and those from an ethnic minority, as they are under-represented within UCL at this level.
