My client has been providing independent design, installation and maintenance of Building Energy Management Systems for over 40 Years. The company, with prestigious clients in both public and private sector organisations, has seen a substantial increase in business as they enable their customers to reduce both their costs and their carbon emissions.

Building Management Systems play such an integral role in the day to day environmental comfort of any large building s nowadays. These cover such things as, building automation, intelligent lighting and heating, plus a multitude of other electrical and mechanical systems. All of which can be extremely energy consuming. My client helps their customers by assessing this energy consumption, making a proposal of recommendations, designing and project managing the Building management Systems installation -Then finally maintains and monitors the savings. This all helps to ensure optimum energy control, continued business s operation and a comfortable working environment.

Having recently made a number of key appointments within the business, my client has highlighted their commitment to continued market penetration. As a result of this, they now seek to appoint an experienced Business Development Sales Manager, from within the Building Management Systems arena, to be an integral part of their plans. This role offers the successful applicant unparallel opportunities for personal development, as my client continues develop its people for the future.

The Role

The purpose and remit of the Business Development Sales Manager Building Management Systems includes:
Development of new business to end user organisations in both the Corporate Blue Chip and Public sector areas, both in new projects and maintenance sales.
Identifying Energy Management / Energy optimisation opportunities; taking the customer from initial contact, to negotiations, and closing the sale.
Identify opportunities within the existing customer base, to maximise sales revenue.
Ensure that contact is made at a senior level with key decision makers.
Build a sales pipeline of new business opportunities that will ensure that the sales target will be met for the year.

The Candidate

The Business Development Sales Manager in Building Management Systems and qualifications will include:
Proven track record in services and or solution sales, ideally in Energy Management / Building Management Systems / M& E Systems.
Commercially astute, and must have experience in bidding and winning high value business.
Personal charisma, ability to identify potential business opportunities, is able to set up appointments at a senior level with potential customers, develop opportunities.
Team player, with excellent presentation skills you will be able to work with and build a team with internal staff who will support your sales initiatives.
Communication Skills - you will be confident and able to communicate and present solutions at Board Level with the ability to negotiate and close sales.
A capable professional with the will to win, tenacious, especially when dealing with medium to long sales cycles.
Computer literate, organised, able to prioritise and deliver results
