Equities Application Support, UNIX and FIX
This is an unusual application support role. In addition to providing L1+2 support for a range of high performance, low latency systems, you will have frequent contact with external clients. This means that in addition to your technical knowledge, you will have excellent verbal communication skills.
The front office trading systems are written in Java and are running on UNIX. You should have good knowledge of UNIX, particularly scripting, as well as good experience with SQL. Experience of working with FIX protocols is of particular interest. You do not need to have worked within banking, but you should be comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast moving environment.
