This part time role (18.5 hours per week) sits within the Publisher Relations team, which takes the lead in supporting publishers through a review process for endorsement of their resources. All materi als put forward for badging or endorsement by Edexcel / BTEC pass through the Publisher Relations team. As such, the team will need to work with both external ('third party') publishers and Pearson publishers. In order to maintain commercial confidentiality there are strict processes in place to ensure no information passes between different publishers. The team has a lead responsibility for the overall process, particularly in terms of agreeing endorsement.
The work of the department will:

* Ensure effective, consistent, appropriate level of engagement with all publishers.
* Ensure timely, effective and on-going communication with publishers.

Purpose:

The Publisher Relations Executive will support the Publisher Relations Manager in all aspects of the endorsement process.
The purpose of the role will be to help the team provide a consistent and centralised approach to the publisher endorsement process. This will include support ing the Publisher Relations Manager evaluate Pearson reviews and advising Pearson editors on how to respond to review comments, the development and maintenance of an endorsement database and management of endorsement documentation. The post holder will also be required to develop a good understanding of the publishing process and be the main contact for the team when the Publisher Relations Manager is absent.
The role offers an opportunity for development in learning about the work of Pearson Qualification Services and the wide range of external stakeholders which influence the work of the business. The applicant will be expected to build long-term relationships with specified internal and external publishers.


Key Accountabilities


1. Managing endorsement database and records
* Maintaining endorsement records.
* Managing endorsed resources webpage and ensuring all records are accurate.
* Monitoring endorsed resources marke ting and ensuring that publishers adhere to JCQ Code of Practice.
2. Managing reviewer claims and review forms
* Track reviewer invoices against contract agreements.
* Liaise effectively with Pearson publishers to ensure reviews are received and processed in a consistent manner.
* Manage endorsement database of reviewer fees and records.
3. Contracting reviewers
* Recruiting reviewers for Pearson resources.
* Issuing contracts to reviewers.
* Tracking/ managing timelines for reviews and payment for reviewers.
* Maintaining endorsement spreadsheet records for Pearson reviews.
4. Standing in for Publisher Relations Manager when required
* Provide a first class service to internal and external customers by answering endorsement queries.
* Support the team in setting up and co-ordinating meetings to keep internal colleagues up-to-date with process changes and arrangements. Representing the team when the Publisher Relati ons Manager is on leave, off sick or attending meetings.
* Act as the liaison for all publishers.
* Responsibility for handling issues and needs of all publishers.
