Job Purpose

Mazars is increasing its international immigration capability by establishing an international immigration service to deliver immigration advice and processing to both corporate and private clients. This international service will combine with Mazars existing international/expatriate tax and HR services to provide clients wishing to live and work overseas with a comprehensive range of professional services that will allow clients to move overseas easily and economically and to comply with all legal and tax obligations. Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing a se rvice to deliver immigration advice and processing for a range of corporate and private individual clients, focussing in particular on Chinese clients. This is a high profile role, with successful candidates expected to be well respected within the immigration services community and well connected with stakeholders such as UKBA and various Chinese trade and business organisations/forums.

The role includes elements of business development, service and operational management to help build the London immigration team for Mazars and to maximise the business potential of supporting clients moving between China and UK.

The majority of cases will be for the full range of UK inbound applications. As part of your client management you will also be expected to coordinate the UK end of clients other international instructions.

Person Specification

Fluent Mandarin written and verbal.

Experience as a qualified immigration adviser.

Experience of advisi ng on all UKBA matters and of preparing and filing the full range of UK applications

Excellent client relationship skills, developing and retaining new business and meeting highest standards of service management

Experience of coaching and mentoring junior consultants and trainees

Familiarity with financial control of client accounts

Good IT-User skills, with experience in case management software

Comfortable consulting at Senior Executive level

Strong organisational skills able to manage and coordinate diverse resources on an international basis

Act as a role model setting high standards of quality and demonstrating commitment to self development.

Develops and maintains realistic and achievable plans.

Communicates team goals with clarity, sets clear objectives for team members that are aligned to business plans and monitors and assesses performance, providing timely feedback and support as necessary.

Contrib utes to the development of new initiatives and proposes appropriate approaches to problems.

Maintains and applies an up-to-date knowledge of the firms risk management policies and operational procedures and ensures team adherence to these.

Ensures client expectations and issues are understood, developing collaborative relationships and taking action to break down silo barriers.

Ensures fees are collected in a timely manner, following up with clients as necessary.

Demonstrates a commitment to change, implementing and leading change projects within the team, where relevant.

Promotes the firms values and beliefs, demonstrating integrity and maintaining an ethical stance, using flexibility and tact to express views as necessary.

Familiarity with related professional services (Global Mobility Relocation, Expat Tax, Payroll) - desirable
