Overall Purpose of Job

The Talkmobile Trading Team provides the businesses platform to acquire new customers whilst balancing its commercial terms on the need to retain the existing base in the most efficient manner possible.

It manages multiple trading channels across the CPW Group, talkmobile.co.uk and other 3rd party channels and also has the remit to develop additional routes to market.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the Senior Trading Manager (STM) in setting the trading direction and strategy for acquisition and retention of customers across postpay, prepay and wireless.Translate this into monthly, quarterly and annual sales plansAchieve monthly sales volume/mix targets within SAC / SRC parameters as set-out within the budget/reforecast. Using all available business levers - eg proposition development, advocacy, commissions payments, internal and external partner relationshipsInterface regularly with CPW channel, commercial, network and propositions teams Ensure monthly sales plans are agreed with CPW Trading/Propositions teams well in advance of the month and early enough to enable sufficient planning for the delivery of sales enablers, such as Marketing or Handset Testing Provide insights to sales reporting pulled together for weekly sales, tariff performance, regional performance, online campaigns.Respond in a timely fashion to all queries, complaints and feedback through all CPW channels bringing in relevant stakeholders within Talkmobile to support as appropriateIssue tariff po rtfolio document for CPW channels and collate on behalf of Web and Upunknowns teams. Issue at least 4 weeks in advance of retail changeover Work with commercial team to Issue monthly commissions document to CPW Trading Propositions and Networks teams. Set-up and maintain a process to collect details on CPW handset ranging and stock planning - regularly interface with CPW handset purchasing team (communicate findings to Talkmobile team, for example, new devices to be ranged by CPW within the next 6-8 weeks).Work with Talkmobile Marketing to define contents of buyers guide, POS boxes, in-store and staff collateral Produce monthly 'Competitor review' for retail channels to cover PAYM SIMO, PAYG SIMO and PAYM Handset/Tariff Carry out regular store visits and report findings in a succinct/relevant fashionWork across the business to grow advocacy of talkmobile through sales channelsForecast store/channel sim requirements on a monthly basis and communicate requirements to Operation s and Marketing teams to enable consistent supplyGather market intelligence and feedback to inform consumer team of trading requirementsUsing GFK track sales trends in the market and provide trading recommendationsAssist the STM in developing new channels of distributionSupport STM with negotiating agreements with talkmobile partner businesesWork closely with online trading manager to ensure a multi channel approach

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Valuable experience in a similar trading or commercial role.

You will also have excellent analytical skills and be highly numerate, all this will be complemented by your exceptional communication and relationship building skills

Desirable:

Experience within the mobile telecoms industry in a similar commercial role
