Electrical Estimator

Our client based in East London is a well established, family owned business that has been providing M&E Building Services for over 60 years. They successfully provide a complete package of services (building, mechanical and electrical) to the industrial, commercial, domestic and public sector.

Their work ranges from the design and construction of schemes, effectively project managed; right through to ongoing maintenance.As a business they are committed to delivering the highest standards of workmanship and to designing and implementing customised solutions that meet their clients individual needs.

Due to continued growth our client is now in search of an experienced Electrical Estimator to head up the estimating department.

Job requirements:

Experience as an Electrical Estimator working with design and technical drawings

Experience with Microsoft Office & Estimating packages

Be skilled in mathematics and have the ability to foresee potential issues in a project

Experience of supervising other Estimators in the work place

Sound knowledge in all aspects of Electrical services

A relevant Building Services / Electrical qualification - HNC Level (Desirable)

Installation Experience (Desirable)

Experience of Mechanical Estimating (Desirable)

Commitment to work out of standard hours in order to complete projects in agreed timescales

Experience with SEC Electrical Estimating Software would be advantageous

Duties:

Develop cost estimates on own merit by analysing the materials and labour needed to complete projects, factoring in the cost of wasted materials and possible delays

Liaison with clients, architects and design teams to negotiate work on a repeat basis as well as have the desire to develop new p roject wins

Obtain competitive and accurate quotations

Particular attention must be bestowed on each and every project undertaken to ensure that work is completed both on time and in budget with a level of quality second to none

Provide a professional and personable service that ensures longstanding relationships with clients that are built on trust and satisfaction

Supervise a small team of Estimators, delegate work appropriately and be responsible for deadlines being met
