Financial Systems Support Analyst

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Systems Support Analyst to join them, reporting into the Financial Systems Manager. You would be the first point of contact for support issues logged, dealing with or correctly diagnosing and assigning to the relevant expert in that area within Systems or IT. You will also work on month end procedures and scheduled reporting, and development of the Aderant Expert system.
Responsibilities include:
Managing and dealing with support issues logged for the Financial Systems Team.
Second level support for the international Accounts Departments and other Aderant Expert users.
Query Aderant Expert database using SQL.Liaising with IT and Finance Departments.
Month-end procedures and routines, including time and billing, and general ledger close.
Liaising with the software supplier regarding support issues, both day to day and through upgrades.
Setting up new offices, mergers and lateral hires.
Testing and deploying new and future functionality within Aderant Expert. Testing application upgrades and checking functionality.
Aderant Expert generic importer from third party applications, ensuring tasks run as scheduled and fixing any issues.
Maintenance of the matter planning module, e.g. creating of phases and tasks via scripting.
Candidate Profile
Financial systems experience gained within a law firm environment or a person who has legal accounts or billing experience who wants a career change to systems.
In-depth knowledge of a legal PMS (Adera nt, Elite etc), some exposure to Whitehill and working knowledge of SQL.
